Light house (2019)
1 hour and 50 minuets Genre: Horror / sociological thriller Cost: 4 million (wow) Cast: Willem Dafoe as Tomas, Robert Patterson as Tomas Director: Robert Eggers Plot: Two wickie keep up with a light house on a remote island. The two don't know each other nor their names but are forced to live their. The old man (Tomas) bosses around the young man (Tomas 2) and drives him insane as the day before they were supposed to be picked up, they both get very drunk, missing their ship and having to wait longer to get off the rock all the while both of their sanity wither away. So this movie was cute unique from the plot to the way it was filmed which was on Panavision Millennium XL2 camera with a vintage 1930s Baltar lens, and black-and-white Eastman Double-X 5222 film, Which intern gave this movie a unique vintage look (1.19:1 aspic ratio) with modern techniques and preduction. Film is also historically accurate from the speech to the events that actual transpire at the light house. which involved two wickies who go missing with no trace. The unique story telling, beautiful visuals and anxiety heavy scenes with overlapping themes makes for one of the greatest and best horror movies of the decade. I give the Light House a 10/10 1.)So basically digital is way better then film for multiple reasons, all of them being that it's overall convent and evolves film as a whole.
so like digital is basically more cost affection, easy to edit (CGI too), no waste of film, easy to share, maintain and restore. This makes digital far more accessible and user friendly then say film. 2.) The fact you can edit your films as of before you'd nee to be a big budget studio to edit. 3.) To me it does as film has this distienct The Death Of Youth
